While studying for a BA at Western Washington University, Treasure Hunt Group founder Jerry Wiatt began his career as a sales associate for the wholesaler J&L Company. He subsequently attained a position as a vice president of sales for Creative Collections Company, Inc. In this role, Jerry Wiatt handled duties ranging from recruiting and mentoring new employees to cultivating business relationships with major retailers.

Building on this experience, Jerry Wiatt joined Elite Sales & Marketing as a managing partner. During an eight-year tenure with the company, he conducted e-commerce marketing and logistics for the buying and selling of surplus merchandise and completed an MBA with a 3.9 GPA at California Coast University.

Since establishing Treasure Hunt Group in 2011, Mr. Wiatt has led the Olympia, Washington-based company to five consecutive years of growth in the sale of excess and obsolete inventory items to retailers and distributors. Moreover, to support tree planting efforts around the world, he donates proceeds from each of the company’s e-commerce sales to the nonprofit Trees for the Future.

Jerry Wiatt holds Six Sigma certification and belongs to both the Asian Business Professional Network and the National Minority Business Association. Within the community, he volunteers with CHEW Dog Rescue and the Partnership for Animal Welfare to train abandoned dogs for adoption. In his free time, he enjoys snowboarding, playing soccer, and fly fishing. He also travels to various international destinations for scuba diving and spear fishing.
